Nico Rosberg has told F1Zone.net that he is not too optimistic regarding Mercedes's chances in this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.

Rosberg won his maiden Grand Prix in China, but has had a disappointing run of finishes that have left him a distant sixth in the championship.

"Spa is a great track, it’s very fast and that’s what a F1 car is about, going fast. It’s a track that I enjoy going to.”

When asked if there were potential improvements to the Mercedes W03, Rosberg was downbeat.

“No, not really. I think Spa is probably gonna be a little more difficult again for us but I’m hoping for better in Monza and Singapore.”

Rosberg was also asked about what it was like to have started more races than father Keke, who won the 1982 championship.

"It’s nice because now if he tries to give me advices I can say ‘Hey, I have more experience than you.’ But he’s very supportive and happy that it’s going well for me."

Rosberg finished sixth in the 2011 Belgian Grand Prix.
