Nico Rosberg had a lucky escape in India on Wednesday, ahead of this weekend's inaugural race in the country.

Rosberg, who sits 7th in this year's championship, was at a market when a poisonous spider was seen on his neck.

The German, 27, tweeted "Yikes! in market. local comes+says: "very dangerous". I say:"what?".And he flicks a spider away from my neck+ says:"red body spider - dangerous"

Meanwhile, cricket legend an avid F1 fan Sachin Tendulkar will be at the race, with local sources suggesting that he will wave the chequered flag at the end of the 60 lap race on Sunday.
