Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg set the quickest time during the final practice session for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Rosberg clocked a time of 1:41.856 to finish 0.281s clear of team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who spun exiting Turn 5.

Sebastian Vettel recovered from a spin at Turn 1 to post the third best time, while Force India’s Sergio Pérez built on his Friday pace by going fourth.

Kimi Räikkönen placed fifth, ahead of Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Force India driver Nico Hülkenberg.

Williams was eighth and ninth courtesy of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, leaving Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz Jr. to complete the top 10.

Jenson Button was a further tenth of a second adrift in 11th spot, while Felipe Nasr and Max Verstappen split Lotus pair Pastor Maldonado and Romain Grosjean.

Fernando Alonso beat Marcus Ericsson to 16th spot, leaving Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi at the back of the classified runners.

Daniil Kvyat did not set a lap during the session as his RB11 was struck by an electrical problem.
