Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg says that his target for this weekend's British Grand Prix is to continue to close the gap to team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the standings.
Rosberg currently sits 10 points behind Hamilton as a result of his victory in Austria and the German driver insists that his deficit at this stage of the campaign is effectively nothing.
"It’s important for me to keep closing the gap, I’m going to try and do it here," he said when asked if beating Hamilton on home ground is important.
"It’s a good period for me in the season now, I want to try and keep that going. He’s 10 points ahead and I need to keep digging away at that.
"10 points is nothing when you look at the length of the season, so my chances are really good."
Rosberg also said that the presence of Mercedes' factory within a few miles of Silverstone means that the race takes on a slightly different meaning for him, even if it is not his own home event.
"It’s a little bit different for me as well as I know how important it is for my team colleagues and one of the best ways to say thank you for the amazing car they have built is to do a 1-2 here as a lot will be here with their family," he said.
