Daniel Ricciardo says that seventh place in the Spanish Grand Prix reflects Red Bull's position in the 2015 pecking order.

Ricciardo started from the bottom of the top 10 but made progress on the first lap to move up a few positions, before settling for seventh place.

"It was definitely a better race, I think," he said. "To be honest I knew yesterday we underachieved what we could have done as a team but today, we got what we were supposed to get.

"Again, it is only seventh, but it still confirms where we are in the championship. We still have got some work to do but I think some parts of the race were quite promising, in terms of the pace.

"It was a bit of fun, the first few laps. The first stint there were a few battles going on, which kept us all entertained, and mellowed out in the second and third stints."
