Sebastien Buemi will remain as Red Bull's reserve driver in 2015, the team has confirmed.

Buemi raced for Toro Rosso between 2009 and 2011 before switching across to Red Bull in a reserve role after he lost his race seat with the Italian squad.

Buemi, who won the World Endurance Championship in 2014 and also competes in Formula E, last received a run-out for Red Bull during the post-race test in Spain in May.

"I’m very pleased to take on another season as reserve driver at Red Bull," said Buemi.

"It is like being part of the family now and I have a good working and personal relationship with everyone at the team. I’m looking forward to helping with the development of the RB11 in any way I can. It should be an exciting season and I’m delighted that I will be a part of it."
