Raikkonen at the Enstone factory in December

Kimi Raikkonen will be paying a visit to the Lotus factory in Enstone this week for a seat fitting, according to BBC F1 journalist Andrew Benson. Benson posted a message on Twitter, saying: "Kimi Raikkonen is due to have his seat fitting at Lotus this week."

Alan Permane, the Trackside Operations Director at Lotus has also confirmed that Raikkonen will be at the Enstone-based factory on Thursday for his seat fitting, saying via Twitter: "The Iceman cometh.... (well, to Enstone tomorrow [Thursday] for a seat fit!)"

There are also plans for Raikkonen to test the 2010-spec Renault R30 this month but according to Benson, the test dates have not been confirmed yet. The test will enable the 2007 Formula 1 world champion to ease his transition back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car before driving the 2012 Lotus during the first winter testing session in Jerez from February 7-10, 2012.

"We don’t test the new car until February so it’s a long wait. However, I should be able to jump into a two-year-old F1 car in January. Of course, there will be the usual training, but I will also be working on getting to know the team better and making sure I fully understand all the changes since I have been away," Raikkonen has previously said regarding his testing plans.
