Raikkonen at Wales Rally GB, his last rally for this season

According to Finnish television broadcaster MTV3, sources within the Abu Dhabi F1 paddock indicate that Kimi Raikkonen is also negotiating with Red Bull's sister team, Toro Rosso to make a return to Formula One. Raikkonen has already publicly admitted that he has been negotiating with Williams.

Raikkonen has a long relationship with Red Bull, since Red Bull has been a sponsor of Raikkonen since he was driving at Ferrari. Raikkonen switched to the World Rally Championship in 2010, driving a Red Bull-sponsored Citro├źn C4 WRC. Red Bull continues to be a personal sponsor of Raikkonen's ICE 1 Racing WRC team this year, although in a less prominent role.

Toro Rosso has yet to confirm either of their current drivers for next season. If the negotiations with Raikkonen fail, it is thought that either Jaime Alguersuari or Sebastien Buemi would continue in the team and the second Toro Rosso seat will be taken by Daniel Ricciardo who will be joining the team from HRT.
