The first in-season group test takes place across the next two days at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix.
As per pre-season testing, each team is permitted to field one car on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the track open from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
Mercedes-affiliated Renault test driver Esteban Ocon headlines the line-up, as the young Frenchman will test the RS16 today before sampling Mercedes' W07 Hybrid for the first time on Wednesday.
Spanish Grand Prix race winner Max Verstappen will be back in action on Wednesday, with Daniel Ricciardo at the helm of the RB12 today.
Reigning GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne will return to the cockpit of the McLaren MP4-31 on Wednesday for the first time since the Bahrain Grand Prix, when he finished 10th on his debut.
Current GP2 championship leader Pierre Gasly will receive a run out for Toro Rosso as he bids to stake a claim for a 2017 race seat.
Other young drivers participating include Ferrari's Antonio Fuoco, Force India development driver Alfonso Celis Jr., GP2 race winner Alex Lynn (Williams) and Manor's Jordan King.
Sauber has elected not to take part in the test due to a lack of updates, as well as not having a young driver signed to its team.
