Pirelli will continue to act as Formula 1's sole tyre supplier until the end of the 2019 season after agreeing a new deal with Bernie Ecclestone.
Pirelli has been the sport's sole tyre supplier since the start of 2011, though the FIA opened up a tender process, in which Pirelli was joined by Michelin in lodging a bid for the 2017-19 contract.
Ecclestone confirmed prior to the start of the Russian Grand Prix that Pirelli would extend its stay in the sport and the Italian company confirmed that a deal has been reached.
"Regarding the recent news,we can confirm that the commercial deal for 2017-2019 has been reached," Pirelli confirmed.
"The official procedure will follow."
