Perez not seriously injured - Sauber

May 28 (GMM) Sergio Perez escaped serious injury in his high speed crash during qualifying in Monaco on Saturday.

The Mexican rookie's Sauber team announced that doctors in the Princess Grace hospital diagnosed Perez, 21, with concussion and a sprained thigh but "no broken bones" or "further injuries".

"The reason for the accident will be investigated and the team will update the media as soon as it has any further information," said the Swiss team.
