Force India's Sergio Perez is hopeful that he can make further progress this weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix, with an updated engine set to be fitted to his car.
Perez finished the Canadian Grand Prix in 11th position but is optimistic that such a boost will enable him to fight for points at the Red Bull Ring.
"It’s an upgraded one and here is a good place to have a new engine," he said.
"This track is important on the engine and hopefully it can give us a good boost and we can be in a better position with this new engine."
Perez added that Force India is confident it can make a further breakthrough at the British Grand Prix, when it will introduce its heavily revised car.
"We’re going to have it [the updates] for Silverstone, we will be doing some testing with some of the parts of the new specification," he said.
"The main upgrade will come to Silverstone, it’s definitely very good news as it’s only one race left and hopefully we can score points this weekend then aim for a much better second half of the year with an upgraded car."
