Esteban Ocon says he would like further Formula 1 outings with Lotus after making his practice debut at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Ocon, 18, claimed this year's F3 title - beating Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen in the process - and replaced Romain Grosjean during the first practice session at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The French driver set the 16th quickest time, three-tenths of a second slower than Pastor Maldonado.
"Well it went great, I had to adapt from the 2012 car because it’s really different, driving style is different, much more buttons on the steering [wheel] you have to change," he told journalists, including F1Zone.net.
"First run it wasn’t easy but alright on the second run and I felt much better, in the end I took some margin. Pace was quite good.
"I know they [Lotus] were really happy once again, they said I gave great feedback, when they are happy I’m happy.
"I want to get back soon in an F1 car - I will be [in it on] Tuesday [at the post-race test] but I hope after that I get another chance."
Ocon added that the Lotus E22 was a tougher car to drive compared to the Lotus E20, which he piloted during a private test in Valencia recently.
"[It's] more difficult, there is less grip in the corners, faster on the straights, it makes things much harder and you have to focus on steering and buttons and things. [From a ] physical point of view it’s easier."
