Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo says that it is time for his team to return to championship glory.
Ferrari has not won a championship since their victory in the constructors' battle in 2008.
"Now it is time to win," he said.
"I have a lot of confidence in the new technical director James Allison and in the work that our people have made in the engine," he said of Ferrari's new 059/3 power unit.
"It's a very complicated engine and very complicated system and I think at the beginning of the season reliability will be crucial."
"Whenever we have the new rules it is difficult from the beginning to find out who is competitive, but our goal is to be on top and do our best. [Stefano] Domenicali has done some innovation within the team and I am very confident."
Di Montezemolo reckons that Ferrari will be assisted by their strong driver line-up of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen.
"I'm confident because we have a strong team and I think we have all the ingredients to be very successful."
"I'm pleased to have Kimi back, Kimi was the last driver to win the championship with us. Fernando has made fantastic seasons by achieving second place in the last four years."
