Mercedes has clinched its second straight Constructors' championship after Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen was given a 30 second time penalty for colliding with Williams' Valtteri Bottas at the Russian Grand Prix.
Mercedes had to out-score Ferrari by three points to be assured of the crown, but it gained only 25 courtesy of Lewis Hamilton's victory, compared to the 28 amassed by Ferrari.
However, Raikkonen's penalty drops him from fifth to eighth, meaning Ferrari departs Russia with 22 points.
Thus Mercedes leads by an unassailable 172 points with four rounds of the season remaining.
Raikkonen was also slapped with three penalty points on his license for causing the collision.
Elsewhere, Fernando Alonso was handed a five second time penalty after repeatedly exceeding track limits, relegating him behind Max Verstappen, who inherits 10th place.
