McLaren has disputed Red Bull's appointment of Dan Fallows of head of aerodynamics with the reigning world champions.

Red Bull confirmed on Wednesday that Fallows would replace Peter Prodromou, who was revealed last year to be re-joining McLaren. Prodromou has been placed on gardening leave ahead of a scheduled move to McLaren.

Fallows left Red Bull in 2013 for a brief period but McLaren is adamant that they have a contract with Fallows.

'Dan Fallows has a legally binding contract with McLaren and the matter is now in the hands of our lawyers,' said McLaren.
