Felipe Massa says he is pleased with Williams's points haul despite missing out on the podium at the Austrian Grand Prix.

Massa led away from his first pole position in six years and headed the field during the opening stint of the race.

But the Brazilian stayed out later than his Mercedes rivals and was jumped by Nico Rosberg, before being passed by Lewis Hamilton.

He was also usurped by Williams team-mate Valtteri Bottas, but Massa believes that a little bit of bad luck contributed to his fourth place.

"It was not lucky when I came back [after the first stop], I was behind one Mercedes but the other came back to me on hot tyres," he said.

"I lost time with a car going slow to the pits and it was enough to lose position. Still [I'm] happy with the result, my job and what I did today, of course [it's] a shame not to be on the podium but it was a great result for the team.

"I think it was enough points, good points, looking how many points we lost to now hopefully it can be a re-start for the team in the championship.

"Unfortunately Valtteri was more lucky with me in the pit stop. I had also traffic, so it was just part of what happened today. I was not lucky to go out in the middle of the traffic and not have the 2.1s stop!"
