Felipe Massa is expected to be confirmed as staying on with Ferrari in 2013.
The Brazilian had been under pressure at Ferrari but an upturn in form recently appears to have secured his future.
Massa has hinted throughout the weekend that an announcement is forthcoming, repeatedly saying that his future is with the team.
Team principal Stefano Domenicali added that he has no doubts that Massa will be staying on.
“No. I don’t have. But anyway we wait for the time. When you get the OK from both directions that is when you are sure. I think it will be pretty soon to be honest”, he told Autosport after the Korean Grand Prix.
“Very soon you will know what will be our position on that respect”.
Prior to the start of the race, Lotus team principal Eric Bouiller told BBC Sport that he expects Romain Grosjean to stay on.
“He [Grosjean] has been already reassured he is going to stay but I cannot commit today”, Bouiller said.
BBC Sport also reported after the race that a deal between Nico Hulkenberg and Sauber has been completed, with the corporation also understanding that reserve driver Esteban Gutierrez will be promoted to a race seat.
