Sauber reserve driver Raffaele Marciello will receive a day's worth of running in the C34 at the post-race test in Spain next week.

Marciello, part of Ferrari's Driver Academy, currently races in GP2 and occupies a reserve role with the Swiss team.

Marciello will also participate in free practice for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix on Friday, replacing regular driver Marcus Ericsson, ahead of his day in the car next Wednesday.

"After the race weekend, I will have the opportunity to drive the Sauber C34-Ferrari on the second day of in-season testing in Barcelona," he said.

"I am looking forward to testing the car for one whole day during which I am able to collect some mileage."

Ericsson will pilot the car on the first day of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
