Daniil Kvyat says he is satisfied by his level of performance after finishing his first season of Formula 1 racing with Red Bull.
Kvyat competed for Toro Rosso in 2014 and was set to stay on at the outfit in 2015 until Sebastian Vettel's departure to Ferrari enabled the Russian to be promoted to the senior Red Bull squad.
Kvyat recovered from a difficult start to score his maiden podium in Hungary and beat team-mate Daniel Ricciardo to seventh place in the standings.
"I think it was a season with a lot of ups and downs, which had plenty of positive moments," he explained.
"Even though it was not an easy season for the whole team we still managed to score quite big points. Hopefully, this will continue and we can improve our situation for next year.
"Overall it was quite pleasant. I am happy with how things went and the relationship I am building with the team race by race."
Red Bull slipped to fourth in the championship, its lowest placing since 2008, but Kvyat is confident the team can recover in 2016.
"I think next year will offer big chances and new opportunities," he said.
"We hope to have more wins and podiums in the future. I am very motivated and obviously very hungry for success."
