Heikki Kovalainen is set to take part in practice for Caterham in Belgium and Italy.

The Finn raced for the Leafield based team for three years but lost his seat at the end of 2012.

Kovalainen will replace Charles Pic during the opening 90 minute practice session at Spa Francorchamps.

Kovalainen will also take part in free practice one in Monza, for which he will drive Giedo van der Garde's car.

Kovalainen returned to Caterham as reserve driver earlier this season and took part in practice in Bahrain and Spain.
