Nico Hulkenberg says he isn't expecting a quick fix to Sauber's problems at this weekend's British Grand Prix.

Hulkenberg has scored five points this season but has not finished in the top 10 since the Chinese Grand Prix.

"[It'll be] another weekend of hard work to be honest. Maybe the high-speed nature of the circuit will suit us a bit better but I wouldn’t expect any magic from that. We’ll have to really get everything out of ourselves to maybe clinch a point."

"Maybe other teams have developed a bit quicker and we’ve brought parts and we have made improvements but not big enough improvements to really make an impact and change the situation."

When asked whether Hulkenberg is expecting major improvements, he said "I'm not sure. Because of next year’s rules when everything will be so different there is a point where teams have to completely stop this year car’s development and focus on next year. Maybe we are not so far away from that point so anything will get even harder."

"We have to get rid of some weaknesses first before we can do other things."

Hulkenberg also said that it would be 'stupid' for any driver to deny that they are interested in the vacant Red Bull seat next season.

"It’s a Red Bull seat which is available because Mark [Webber] is leaving. I would be stupid to deny – I think everyone would have interest in their cars but it’s still early days."
