Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg says he has 'a few good options' to remain in Formula 1 next year 'in a good car.'
Hulkenberg was understood to be an outside contender for a 2016 seat with Ferrari but the squad announced on Wednesday that it would be retaining Kimi Raikkonen.
When asked whether Ferrari's news affected Hulkenberg, he replied, "obviously that seat is taken but the rest there are still a good few options for me out there and I’m confident I can put something together and be here next year in a good car."
Hulkenberg has been linked with one of the seats at the incoming Haas team and says that his options remain open.
"Obviously it depends on what options you have and how many, but this is the time of the year, you talk to everyone and assess your options, you put things how you like them and make a decision when the time is right," he said.
"I’m working quietly in the background and preparing everything."
