Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton believes the manner in which he and team-mate Nico Rosberg reacted to their clash in Spain reflects their maturity.
Hamilton and Rosberg collided on the opening lap in Spain, with both cars suffering terminal damage in the incident.
Hamilton explained that the pair have talked on a number of occasions since the clash and that their relationship has not been affected by the incident.
"I think it’s shown the growth within Nico and I, we stood and spoke to each other today" Hamilton said during his Wednesday media briefing in Monaco.
"In the past there would have been some kind of tension of some sort but it was just pure respect, I still have all the respect for you and he said the same.
"So let’s keep racing, it doesn’t change the way we approach our racing, maybe we’re just getting old! We’re good at our jobs and we know it.
"It’s always good to discuss things, so we did as a team, in Barcelona and then at the factory, then we spoke just now."
