Lewis Hamilton was among a number of drivers given penalty points for incidents which took place during the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hamilton was given two penalty points after he collided with Daniel Ricciardo at Turn 1, the first of his Formula 1 career.

Daniil Kvyat was given two penalty points for leaving the track and gaining a position on Hamilton in doing so; Kvyat's sanction is also his first for the 12 month period.

Max Verstappen was deemed to have failed to stay above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU during the deployment of the Safety Car, for which he was given three penalty points, bringing his season total to five.

Pastor Maldonado added two penalty points to his tally following his collision with Sergio Perez, bringing his cumulative total to six.

Formula 1 drivers will receive a one race ban if they gather 12 penalty points across the course of a 12 month period.
