Reigning GP2 champion Davide Valsecchi has joined Lotus.
The Italian occupies the role of third driver for the team.
Valsecchi is only the second GP2 champion, after compatriot Giorgio Pantano, not to graduate to an F1 seat for the following season.
Jerome d’Ambrosio, who deputised for Romain Grosjean at the Italian Grand Prix last year, remains with the team as their reserve driver.
Nicolas Prost, son of four times world champion Alain, joins the team as a development driver.
