Good week, bad week

Good week, bad week - 28th February.

Good week:

- Fans of retro liveries. We have the green and yellow Lotus, the black and gold Renault and now Williams has made a half hearted attempt at replicating their mid-90s livery.

- Non-Indy Car drivers who aren’t doing anything on October 16th. IndyCar has offered $5m to any driver who comes into the championship and wins the round in Las Vegas.

- Mexicans. Not the fact that they weren't insulted on Top Gear, but the fact that they got to see their new hero, Sergio Perez, demonstrate the Sauber C29 in his home town of Guadalajara. Between 150,000 and 200,000 people turned up. Turkey would kill for figures like that...

Bad week:

- Valentino Rossi. Misses a day of testing after falling ill, but more than that is the Ducati is slow. Currently just winning a race looks a difficult achievement

- Bernie Ecclestone. Lost a lot of credibility over stumbling to cancel Bahrain, then picked up the bill a few days later. Not many noticed the latter though. And the recently released biography of him has revealed some embarrassing issues for him.

- Clarity. Some teams are testing in Barcelona from the 8th to the 11th. Others between the 9th and the 12th. Clever.
