Good week, bad week

We take a look at who has had a good week, and who hasn't.

Good week:

  • Fans of the BTCC: 13 different car models in the field so far. It’s going to be a cracking year.
  • Giorgio Mondini: Hasn’t raced since 2009 in any series yet HRT was pleased with his pace. If he has the money, there might be two Swiss drivers in the field
  • Trevor Bayne: Starts only his second ever NASCAR Sprint Cup race, the prestigious Daytona 500, and wins. Not bad!

Bad week:

  • Bahrain: It looks like we won’t be heading to Bahrain for March 13th. It’s a shame, but there are more important things in life than F1.
  • Mattias Ekstrom: Breaks wrist whilst playing volleyball in an Audi training camp. In a race to be fit for the DTM season
  • Mercedes GP: Haug admits the cars is not top 10 material. Schumi says a win would be lucky. Observers say the car looks bad and is 1.5s slower than the best.
