Pierre Gasly will remain as Red Bull's reserve driver in Formula 1 this year, alongside his duties in the GP2 Series.

Gasly, part of Red Bull's junior team, tested for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso in 2015 and raced in GP2 for DAMS, placing eighth in his first full year in the category.

Gasly spent the latter part of 2015 as Red Bull's reserve driver and travelled to Formula 1 races with the outfit.

"Of course I’m really pleased to carry on with the team for a third year," said Gasly, who will race for GP2 newcomers Prema this year.

"It will be another thrilling and very busy season continuing my work as reserve driver for Red Bull Racing but my priority is clearly to win the GP2 series."
