f1-women-children-amber-lounge-fashion-monacoFormula 1 drivers will swap the cockpit for a catwalk this Friday in Monaco for Amber Lounge U*NITE Fashion Show, a prestigious charity event established in 2006 under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Accompanied by grid girls and supermodels, drivers will be modelling the latest collections from international designers during an event where charity auction aims to make yet another significant contribution to a notable cause. This year Amber Lounge will be lending its hand and its network to the Brain and Spine Foundation, a charity of great sentimental value to the motorsport industry due to Michael Schumacher’s medical situation after a ski accident last December.

The Brain and Spine Foundation is the UK’s leading neurological charity providing free information and support to people of all ages regardless of the condition they are affected by. Besides other activities, the Foundation responds to over 4,000 calls and emails per year to their free phone helpline which is staffed by neuroscience nurses, shares information on their website and discussion forum, which was accessed by 800,000 people in the past year.

A live performance from the British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott will mark the event opening on Friday evening. The act will be followed by F1 Drivers’ catwalk modelling Apsley Tailors, runway models wearing Odabash & Macdonald Resort Wear Collection, ladies of F1 and children walking the catwalk, Melissa Odabash & Julien Macdonald haute couture presentation.
