Fernando Alonso has admitted that qualifying eighth for the Brazilian Grand Prix is no surprise.
The Spaniard scraped into Q3 and was then a few tenths slower than Felipe Massa in the final shootout.
"It's not a surprise because we started seventh in Abu Dhabi, ninth in the USA, and eighth here. So it's more or less as expected", he said.
"We'll try to repeat our performance on Sunday and reach the podium like Abu Dhabi and Austin".
Alonso admitted that the predicted wet weather could be of assistance.
"We need some strange circumstances, we need a chaotic race in a way, rain or something, let's hope we see something like that".
Alonso also added that Ferrari has not fitted a wet setup to his car.
