Formula One drivers have taken to Twitter to show their support for Timo Glock, after the German parted company with Marussia.
Glock and Marussia have separated by mutual agreement. The German racer joined the team at the start of 2010.
"Further to the Team’s statement today, on a personal note I’d like to wish Timo Glock the very best for the future," said Marussia's new recruit Max Chilton.
"It's a Shame to see that Timo Glock is off the F1 grid for '13. No way that'll be the last we see of him...." added 2009 world champion Jenson Button.
Team-mate Sergio Perez also wished the German well, "big shame to hear the news !! We will miss you specially at the drivers dinner! I'm sure you will be back soon". "Bad news to see Timo Glock leave Marussia. Wishing him the best going forward," added Force India's Paul di Resta.
Red Bull's Mark Webber also wished Glock well, "you'll be missed matey on the drivers parade and drivers meetings chats. One of the good guys, and never went to your head."
Glock responded by alluding to the financial difficulties facing Formula One teams at the current time. "that's the way of F1 at the moment hope it will change again soon because like this it has nothing to do with sport! Now it's up to you guys to make things clear in drivers meetings."
