Paul di Resta expressed his disappointment at Force India’s worst qualifying result since Monaco.
The British driver managed only sixteenth on the grid at his team’s home race.
“Difficult” di Resta told Sky Sports F1 when asked about the session. “Probably the worst I’ve been in the car all year. I didn’t do a good job, so it’s just disappointing because we wanted to go into qualifying with a strong car. But when you lack confidence you can’t get it out of the car.”
“This is an important weekend for us and clearly we’re not making enough of an impact. It’s been like that all day and we didn’t sort it enough to go into qualifying with a strong car. Nico is definitely happier than I am but he’s missed out on Q3 as well. We have a lot of hard work to do tomorrow”, he said.
