Force India reserve driver James Calado will participate in the opening practice session for the Indian Grand Prix.

Calado will replace regular driver Paul di Resta, due to illness.

Di Resta was able to undertake his media duties on Thursday but will sit out the morning session in order to recover.

Calado is currently an outside contender for this year's GP2 crown and joined Force India earlier in the year.

He also took part in the opening practice session for the team at Monza and Yeongam.
