Jenson Button has given the clearest signal yet that he will remain with McLaren for the 2015 Formula 1 campaign.

McLaren is yet to confirm its line-up for next season, with current racers Button and Kevin Magnussen in contention to retain their seats. McLaren, alongside returning engine supplier Honda, is reportedly keen to lure Fernando Alonso away from Ferrari.

But the 2009 world champion is confident that he will keep his seat, although acknowledges that he must up his game in qualifying, with Magnussen having trumped Button on eight occasions over one lap in 2014.

"I'm not worried in any way about that," Button is quoted when asked about his future by the Press Association.

"I'm pretty happy I'll be here next year, and I feel I'm doing a good job right now.

"I just have to sort Saturdays out a bit more. I've been a bit unlucky and not got the best out of it every weekend, which annoys me more than anything else, but I'll get there."

Button joined McLaren at the start of 2010 as the defending champion and has since raced alongside Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez and Magnussen, collecting eight wins, the most recent coming in Brazil two years ago.
