Williams driver Valtteri Bottas says that he hopes his podium position at the Canadian Grand Prix will act as a springboard for the squad to enjoy a strong spell of results.
Bottas took his first podium in Formula 1 in Austria last year and consequently followed it up with further top three finishes across the mid-season stint.
Bottas took advantage of an error by Kimi Raikkonen in Canada to collect Williams' first top three finish of 2015 and reckons the result will boost the team.
"[I'm] really happy for us as a team, really proud, it was good team work all weekend, Kimi’s mistake helped us one more position and we changed strategy through the race which was dynamic and it wasn’t a bad race from me either," said Bottas.
"I think we needed this result, like last year we saw it boost the confidence and we know again now that we’re a top team and we can fight for the podiums. For Austria we hope we can repeat at least these kind of results."
Bottas was hesitant to attribute Raikkonen's spin at the hairpin as the sole reason for Bottas' presence in third position.
"It’s really difficult to say but for sure it helped us, it was good [that] we weren’t that far away from them at any point so we could always put pressure to them, and we managed to change the strategy and the team did really good work today with that, being aware of all the things which were happening around us, [I'm] pleased to get a good result."
