Williams driver Valtteri Bottas has dismissed speculation linking him with a future seat at Ferrari.

Recent rumours have suggested that the Finn had signed a pre-contract with the Italian squad, but Bottas rejected such ideas and says that he is focused on Williams.

"I’ve heard plenty of stories and it is sometimes quite funny sometimes to hear those, because at in the end you know what the case is and what is not," he said.

"There are a lot of people making up stuff and at the moment I am focusing on getting the maximum for us as a team. The rest, I don’t know yet.

"I am not really thinking about those [rumours]. It is for my management to think [about] and like I said, I am personally just focusing on this moment and this season as I think this is the best thing for me to do for the future as well."

Bottas will hand over his FW37 to Susie Wolff for the opening practice session but says that he isn't fussed about the lost track time.

"Everyone knows this track really well and I’ve already had a lot of laps here in February so getting into a rhythm shouldn’t take as long as maybe some other places," he said.

"Susie is running a good programme in terms of getting good data for the tyres so I reckon in terms of setting up the car and putting the right pieces on the car, that shouldn’t compromise anything."
