Valtteri Bottas says his shock third fastest time in qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix will be a boost for Williams.
The team has failed to score a point so far this season, but Bottas excelled in slippery conditions to secure third place on the grid for Sunday's race.
"It means a lot. We're way further up than we could ever imagine. It has been so difficult for the first six races for us, and it's a nice boost for the team," he said
"We really got everything quite right here today."
With the chance of rain lingering around the 20% mark, Bottas concedes that his chances of a good result in the dry will be slim.
"If it is dry it is going to be difficult. I still have zero points and there is still a lot to learn."
"I think the fact is that in the dry the car does not belong in P3 at the moment," he added.
