Toro Rosso has confirmed that John Booth will return to Formula 1 with the team in the role of Director of Racing.
Booth oversaw Manor Motorsport's graduation into Formula 1 at the start of 2010 and remained with the team until the end of 2015.
Booth, who has since set-up the Manor LMP2 outfit, will work with Toro Rosso on a consultancy basis, starting at this weekend's Russian Grand Prix.
"It is a great honour to join such a well-established and competitive team as Toro Rosso" said Booth.
"It is a team that has achieved so much in a relatively short space of time. I am looking forward to getting started and working with Franz [Tost] and the team this weekend in Sochi."
