McLaren has confirmed that Fernando Alonso is 'uninjured and fine' following a testing crash at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.

Alonso's car hit the wall on the inside of the long right-hander at Turn 3 and the Spaniard was taken to the track's Medical Centre, before being airlifted to hospital.

A McLaren spokesperson told assembled media at the track that a CT scan came back normal.

The squad also confirmed that Alonso's crash brought the team's running at this test to a premature end.
