Re: Rate the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
I dont understand why so many people think hamiltions retirement was the best moment of the race as it only turned the race into a borefest isnt it better to see Vettel win with an overtake maybe more interesting than a simple retirement even though I hate many drivers not including vettel and hamilton a retirement only makes the victory only feel unearned.

Re: Rate the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver - Vettel. A flawless race from him 10/10
2 - Best Team - Red Bull. The McLaren was slightly quicker but the Red Bull's reliability won them the race. 9/10
3 - Best Overtake - Kobayashi on Button. He didn;t look like it was his 2nd race with race craft like that. 9.5/10
4 - Best Moment - That Last Lap battle between Button and Webber. 10/10
5 - Worst Driver - Fisichella. a driver of his experience should not be getting drive through penalties for speeding in the pits. 3/10
6 - Worst Team - Renault 2/10
7 - Best Rookie - Kobayashi. No question. 9.5/10
8 - Biggest Surprise - Got to be that Hamilton retired with a brake faliure. 6/10
9 - General Comment - It was a slightly processional race although Button did his best to spice it up a couple of times. Also, there was quite a few overtaking moves into the chicane at the end of the long straight.
My Overall rating: 7/10

Re: Rate the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver
Seb Vettel, but didn't KK do well? I'm starting to love this kid.
2 - Best Team
Red Bull for torching everyone.
3 - Best Overtake
Koboyashi on Button, with Alonso on Koboyashi coming a close second. Kubica on Truli was also great.
4 - Best Moment
The epic Button vs Webber battle.
5 - Worst Driver
Erm. Dunno. Alguersuari maybe for his pit miscue.
6 - Worst Team
Renault. Slow cars.
7 - Best Rookie
Who do you think? Koboy of course.
8 - Biggest Surprise
Hamilton's retirement. That doesn't happen too often y'know.
9 - General Comment
The race was quite entertaining subjectively for me, and very comforting, even if not particularly interesting on track. Everything had been decided and this race was a beautiful, aesthetically-pleasing test-session. It also had a couple of wonderful moments, like the Koboyashi overtake, the Alonso overtake, the Kubica overtake and the various other fights that occured. There was something so beautiful about the cars under twilight conditions and then with the lovely orange glow of the lights and I found the track very appealing in design also. Every overtake preceded or superceded an extended battle. Most overtakes developed over three corners at least, which made most overtakes made or attles fought incredible. The only bad thing about this track is the fact that the cars that race on it have aero such that they can't follow each other properly, otherwise this would be a great race.
As it was:
Personal good feeling: 8/10
Actual racing: 6/10
Average: 7/10
China - 9/10
Belgium - 8/10
Malaysia - 8/10
Australia - 8/10
Italy - 7/10
Germany - 7/10
Abu Dhabi - 7/10 - I guess nothing much really happened, but despite that, this race still entertained me greatly.
Singapore - 6/10
Hungary - 6/10
Britain - 6/10
Bahrain - 6/10
Spain - 6/10
Monaco - 5/10
Japan - 5/10
Valencia - 5/10
Turkey - 4/10
