I agree, though now there are no breaks to get drinks or go to the toilet.Rachael-The-Great wrote:glad its not itv. the ad-breaks were extremely annoying.

Re: F1 09 TV Coverage
Exactly what I was going to say! We sort of have to plan our snack/toilet break strategies now, taking into account when we believe there will be the least amount of on-screen action to miss. Just when we thought this season couldn't get any more exciting.TheViewer wrote:I agree, though now there are no breaks to get drinks or go to the toilet.
Re: F1 09 TV Coverage
Still far more preferable to have no adverts, and the beeb's coverage I thought was excellent despite a couple of minor problems.I think you have to plan toilet/snack breaks before the race now and not need to leave the TV for the race duration, though it depends on the time it takes from your tv to the kitchen, its actually a tricky situation thinking about it...

Re: F1 09 TV Coverage
I didn't find the BBC as good as I thought it would be. New commentator is not that good, I prefered Allen even though I complained about him.
The people who present it are average. It was average on ITV for different reasons.

Re: F1 09 TV Coverage
yeah the itv presenter were good but the coverage was good in bbc. I think its because its after a long time that they have done this.. they will get used to it and speak with more confident....
Dc was talking like he was being interviewed..
It will take time for them to settle down..

The new commentator's first line was something like "welcome to the new season of Formula One". He said One wrong. I thought he said wlon.
Re: F1 09 TV Coverage
yeah i noticed that as well, it was legard (the new one) and he seem to have a lot of excitement as well.

I'm also not sure about Jonathon Legard yet. Seems a bit bland. His articles and blogs on the BBC website aren't all that interesting either, I'm wondering why he was chosen over Radio 5 Live's David Croft. Having said that, viewers can choose to switch to his and Anthony Davidson's radio commentary during the races, which is a good feature. Thing is, I like Brundle!
And another thing - the intro the BBC've come up with is a flashy computery mess. Even with The Chain. Which you can hardly hear over the annoying and pointless sounds they added over the top. There is not one head-on shot of an early '90s Grand Prix car bottoming out on the Kemmel straight, sending a shower of sparks into the air. Not one.

the problem with radio 5 commentary is that they focus on user sms more than the race..
