Peter Windsor has been talking up Jonathan Summerton's chances of getting a drive should USF1 get off the ground , he is certainly more capable than Danica Patrick who is also being mentioned.

Interesting comments from Martin Whitmarsh : http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/73416

the engine deal talks are going out to the "current suppliers" and right now they have no preference between makes

hello people... Peter Windsor went out and said they are going to bring in "two young Americans" and even listed quite a few prospects so why are you wasting your time speculating on drivers who don't fit that persona.

I'm surprised by this "american engine" thing. The American companies have been hit extremely hard and I can't see any of them entering F1 now.

And Johnathan Summerton is a better driver than many Peter Windsor originally mentioned, but not F1 material yet.

Ford doesn't own cosworth anymore but cosworth has been trying to get an engine deal with the FIA

I sure as hell hope that Danica gets NO WHERE NEAR THIS THING. She is an over-hyped driver who has no true talent or passion for racing. I say maybe someone like Kyle Busch deserves at least a test.

Does anyone know anything about the official entry status for the 2010 championship? News is scarce and as it stands, we'll have only 8 cars on the grid...
