yap some very interesting stats! 2 things become very obvious to me, no actually 3 things:

first one is: Senna and Schumi - one of them is leading almost every category

second one: statistics don´t lie and emphasise what I always thought: Schumi wasn´t THAT good in qualifying, but arguably the best in race conditions

third one: Fangio was the most dominant driver in the history of F1, without a doubt, we could discuss all the circumstances behind it and how he would compare against Senna, Schumi etc, but fact is no one dominated like he did, 5 WDC from 120 starts, wow!

In 2002 Ferrari had points equal to sum of the points other teams scored....

yes that´s true phil, but it can be either an advantage or disadvantage, for example if you have a great start to the season like Alonso had in 05 and 06 and the season is over after 8 or 9 races it´s money in the bank, but if you don´t start that good but get going after 5 or 6 races you could still win it in a 18 race season.

No I meant it looks great that he got 5 wdcs after 120 starts and im not doubting his status but im saying that he won the 5 titles in a small time because of the short seasons. Hamilton would take a minimum of 120 starts to do 5 titles but Fangio could have done it in 50 races becasue of the short calendar.

I've never liked stats. Take for example most pts stat. You can't say it, who had the most pts, because of different points systems (back in time not every result counted!!) and different calendar length throughout the years...
