GP of Argentina 2010

Post by shailf1 » 29 Nov 2008, 15:00

As we know, Argentina has hosted a Grand Prix more then twice. But they have lost it out to all the multimillion dollar circuits and organisations who do have the money to get a Grand Prix going.
Now since 2008 Argentina has got a new circuit. The semi-street circuit of San Luis. The FIA GT championship ending was held on the now already beloved circuit.
Drivers dare to compare the track with the famous circuits like Spa Francorchamps and Bathurst. It is a daunting circuit with many hillclimbs which forms a clockwise circular track around a lake near San Luis Argentina.

The rumour that the circuit would end up on the Grand Prix calendar has been sparked by the announcement of Wavion. A telecommunications company which will provide the networking around the track.

This following website suggests that the San Luis circuit would host an F1 GP.

Of course no Tilke here. The circuit also includes all the safety measures required by FIA.

The circuit is 6,249.85m long.

It is a stunning track, but its too GT than F1. Its suited more to toruing cars etc and i dont think F1 will go there

This circuit looks great, but i don'T think, that it will suit to F1. I think F1 will not host a GP there, however, it would be great, because of the scenery...

The circuit is nice and it will may be a interesting circuit, but my question is how many GP's will be added in 2010?
Indian GP is almost confirmed, rumors were that USA GP will be back in 2010,and now Argentina. After some days another news may come telling France GP to be back. How many races in one season will be held??20 or 22???

I would LOVE to see that track in F1,its magnificent. But Bernie would never give a grand prix to them,South America already has a race and he has lots of other places to give grands prix to

They mentioned that F1 will alternate between Suzuka and Fuji in a conversation they had about how technical and quick Suzuka is as a circuit...
