Worse Grand Prix
Re: Worse Grand Prix
I´m surprised, so many people mentioned Indy 2005, but only 2 or 3 mentioned Imola 94.
Come on...Indy 2005 was a farce, but nobody got hurt. Imola 94 was just a big big desaster, 2 people lost their lives, 1 was in coma, injured mechanics and injured spectators...can a race be any worse?

Re: Worse Grand Prix
Indy 2005 obviously but Valencia 2008 was awfully boring as well. Round and round and round and round and round. *yawn*
And yes Imola '94 was probably the saddest but I don't think you can call it the "worst".

Re: Worse Grand Prix
I would say Shanghai '04. Hungary '02, '04, '05 and '07 weren't far though.
Re: Worse Grand Prix
Indianapolis 05 was boring as hell .... Most of the hungary grand prix as well.
Sepang 2008 + valencia 08 ..

Indianapolis 2005
Re: Worse Grand Prix
Putting the ones with fatal accidents aside (Imola 94, Zolder 82 etc) I think that the worst were US GP 2005, Austrian GP 2002, Japanese GP 1990 and (I dont know wether it counts) Spainish GP 1980.
Re: Worse Grand Prix
The worst that I've seen was this years European Grand Prix. The race was a bore. However, the worst grand prix had to be the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. 2 dead, many injured. so sad.

Re: Worse Grand Prix
I think the US Grand Prix of 2005 was ITV's finest moment! They made the build-up somehow exciting and kept cutting away from the "race" to hear from the fans leaving the track, team bosses (good old Paul Stoddart) and other drivers.
Martin Brundle confronting Ecclestone on the grid was a brilliant bit of telly.
ITV made the best of a bad situation, then continued to be rubbish for the remainder of the season. At least the BBC secured Brundle for this year!

Re: Worse Grand Prix
Just dry races, makes me dizzy, prefer wet races, more action, unless the race has a lot of accidents in it
I'm not scared of Swine Flu, i believe that if i get bitten by a pig, it gives me special powers.
Re: Worse Grand Prix
yup wet races always make it more interesting
Re: Worse Grand Prix
Valencia 08 and Belgium 07 were dire.
Usually Hungary races as well. 08 wasn't really exciting, there was just an awesome move at the start from Massa, then his engine blew near the end, everything else in between was boring.
