Piquet checked out the infamous gravel trap from last year, but he managed to get off it too!

Well I missed about 10 min in the start of fp2. And when I started, hamilton was already in lead and massa had just come out for his lap. After that, no one was close to hamilton's time (not even hamilton) suggesting that they were doing heavy stints.
At almost end of the session everybody switched onto softs and on his last run Massa's first and second sector was identical to alonso. But coming out of the last corner massa had a slide and he could not improve. And kimi was having problems in the final sector at the exit of the hairpin.

It can be said that the one lap hamilton did might be on low fuel so he was wayy infront of everybody.

Considering the Friday results, Hamilton has to be the favourite. His pace was very good, he has beaten the Ferraris by 3.5 tenths in fp 1. So that should be the benchmark. I also think Fernando could be a candidate for podium once again. China is a classic Renault circuit.

practice doesn't show us the order of how quick they are, Hamilton's been fastest in practice a lot, then in Q3 the Ferrari's will be just as fast, so wait till qualy then let's see who gets pole and then watch what happens at the very tight first corner.

Hamiltons pace was impressive. he was consistantly at least 0.2 faster than anyone else. but there's still a lot to go. we all know how last year ended up lol.

the harder tyre seems to be the faster compound here though. and i have a hunch hamilton struggled more with the softer tyres than the ferrari's. so that might spice things up a little.
