Yeah, Singapore was very much Alonso's. Italy was Vettel's. Spa was Hamilton's and Valencia was Massa's. Swings and roundabouts, mate.blizzard wrote:No, it was Alonso´sjoostlamers wrote:McLarens last moral victory was singapore muahahahaaaaa

Yeah, outsmarted by their own technique. That´s what can happen when you want to be extra clever and introduce unneccessary things.
At least they are intelligent enough now to leave it at home and bring the lollipop to Japan.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1™ Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
I don't think it was an unneccessary thing. Big teams like Ferrari and McLaren are investigating every bits of improvable areas to be quicker than their rivals. So, Ferrari must have done a quite intensive analysis on this subject so that they decided they could gain an advantage. We, just sitting in front of our computer, seem to know every thing better than those extremely working teams right?blizzard wrote:joostlamers wrote:hahaha, Ferrari lost 2-0 to the electronical lights system

I remember in one season, McLaren designed a new outfit for their team mechanics for just two "impressively hot" races, like Bahrain and Malaysia. They even investigated and improved the materials used in their outfits. Can you image how those teams are working for small changes for improvement?
I believe Ferrari will use this lighting system next season as I don't think it was "semi-automatic" lighting system to be accused but people who use them. They swapped to lollipop system just in case.

F1 is about innovation. A lot of innovation seemed like a good idea at the time. Like a massive grille on the front of the ensign of sometime ('78?).
Naturally every Mac fan is going to be laughing at ferrari right now, but then every Ferrari fan will have opportunities in the future to laugh at mac.
Swings and roundabouts, for the second time today..

Compaired to massa in the rain, everybody in the field is supreme
swca92 wrote:Well compared to Massa in the wet Hamilton is supreme.Massa's driving in the wet often reminds me of the constantly spinning drum in washing machines. In Hamilton's career he's competed in 6 races that were wet or partly wet. He's won 3 (4 if you count Spa).Massa was gifted 1.Fact.

I also believe Lewis drove excellent when it started to rain in Belgium, right?
MP4/4#12 wrote:I agree about Silverstone, but in Monaco he was very lucky, he hitted the barrier hard, then got lucky with that SC, so when it rains you never know...i understand you "fan faith" but it really isn`t that granted, just look at Monza: friday pratice was raining hard, everyone was predicting an Hamiton`s win, but he failed. I don`t care who wins it, just want to see a nice F1 race.swca92 wrote:At Fuji last year,at Silverstone and Monaco this year Hamilton kicked everyone's butt. And you'd have to think he'll do it again if we get another wet race this year.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1™ Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
Well Hamilton will be favourite if its wet, though we know from the races this season anything can happen. The person who really wants rain is Vettel,he'll fancy getting another win

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1™ Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
the main title contenders were battling behind the slower guys and that helped him to open up a gap of around 15 sec before the first stop. He was not fast at all, he was consistent. But he was good, no question about that, but he was lucky as well.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1™ Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
I wish Alonso wins again, against unlucky last season race.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1™ Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
I hope Massa gets this one. He was unlucky in singapore, where he was the best. I hope it will be without rain because Ferrari cant drive in the wet.
The next races think Ferrari will use Raikkonen to mess it up for Hamilton some way ^^
