Rob Smedley, Ferrari, speaking to German broadcaster Premiere

"It was a very difficult race. As we predicted yesterday, it was going to be very difficult, the inaugural Grand Prix at a new circuit, a street circuit. And for us it was more than difficult, it was a nightmare!

"We had a safety car in exactly the wrong point, but Lewis had it as well, we predicted correctly that he was coming in on the same lap as us, so I mean it shows our pace yesterday in the race, and it shows how fast we were able to pull away from him, so we were a lot quicker here with Felipe.

"When he came in, we had a problem with the fuel rig, we had a problem with our refueling system, and he saw the green light and he correctly left the pit box, but it shouldn't have been a green light, so it was a failure of the team and not of him. And, for that, he had to stop at the end of the pit lane, and then we sent the guys up an they pulled the fuel nozzle out and then he got a drive-through penalty and then he got a puncture. So, what could go wrong, did go wrong.

"Unfortunately, it's just one of them things, everything always happens at the worst possible time, that's why you've just got to be 100 percent waterproof with all your reliability and today we weren't. Today we were useless."

Quite epic race indeed.

Even though it was an impressive win from Alonso, I still don't like these SC situations which turn it too much into a lottery. Also the championship would have been more exciting, but now it's quite clear, especially if it will be raining at the last races. Then again, everybody was saying that it would rain in Singapore as well but I didn't see a drop of rain in any of the sessions so that was it.

Funny that it was basically Piquet that handed the victory to Alonso and the timing of the crash was perfect, but Renault's pace had been good throughout the weekend. I think Alonso had the 3rd fastest lap or something.

As for Sutil, he's just horrible. He crashes into something almost every race and half of the safety cars are caused by him. :s Maybe Force India should take notice.

Wait, wait. The championship is not over yet.
Massa have one big chance.

oh he had to pit earlier because of a puncture, that explains why he did a 7.8 s stop and had put the fuel enought till the end.

Well Massa's pit stop wasn't his fault, but the way he after that spun twice and drove poorly was not indicative of a champion. He could have got a point or 2 if he made no mistakes after the stop and the drive-thru

well, with all the fantastic lawyers they have and the external support, ferrari gave 6pts to felipe during the week, and now they took them away from him.

that is fair game to me guys.

hard to digest, but fair and square.

Ferrari has taken away this title from Felipe. God damn!

Monaco
Hungary
Singapore

all that races Felipe Massa had the pace to win. He got screwed by the team.

Jean Todt, Ross Brawn and all the old Schumacher crew come back please! This one is just a mess.

F*** the current Ferrari team! They are the biggest disgrace of Italy. Especially this wannabe Team Principal S. Domenicali and the paper-champion himself: K.Räikkonen.

Bring back Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne and please!!! give Fernando a contract. He´s the best driver in F1 by a countrymile.

I´m ashamed to be Ferrari fan, for two years they are producing utter s***. Last years championships were only a product of fortune, (spygate + Hamilton in the gravel in China).

MR Di Montezemolo please REACT

Never thought I said say this but thank goodness for ITV's ad breaks after getting a bloody hand from punching the air which then hit the ceiling when Ferrari's fail stop occured. :p Great win for Alonso, I love the way he drives and I would like him more if just wasn't for last year when he was a bit too arrogant.

Kimi's title hopes are over with careless mistakes, Massa has proved he still goes crazy when he's not in the best position. That will knock Massa's confidence until he wins again imo.

3 more races until the 5 months of depression again. :tired:
