New is that only qualifying and Race will be in night. They can a keep FP2 in night so that drivers can get a good idea what they are going to face in Qualifying and Race :n

what happens if they forget to keep lights under the grandstand(They will nit do such a stupid mistake)accident in first lap if the qualifying :)

lol........if they have a chance of power failure then the cars should have lights at their front wing.Any what kind of lights they are using. Will the lights will get on as soon as they are switched on or they will be like cricket stadium lights which gets to 100% glowing after a long time(if yes then if they have power failure there will be chance of red flag and a night race will be a failure)

In the interview with Martin Brundle the Singapore said that they are very very less chances of power failures and if they have any problem also it will not fact the race

There is virtually zero chance of power failures as there is backup and another 2 after that.

Nice pics .. Good view of track from the onboard video. Moreover i don't expect any overtaking at front if Massa & Lewis take the opening slots. They would pretty much try to beat the other on the pit stops. Otherwise if they try something and make a mistake both would go down the drain and Kimi will be staring at the title. So i guess its going to be Valencia Part II.

I think the circuit looks to have more promise than Valencia, but it looks dangerous: the tunnel, bridge and grandstand bit, not to mention how narrow the start finish line is. if its wet, it may be cancelled, but then again it wont be that dark, as motogp had a night race and you cant tell the difference.

I just can't wait (since March :P). Such a spectacular track to drive on at night, awesome! I think Ferrari will beat McLaren, Massa took pole already in Monaco and win in Valencia. So he is a master of city circuits :D

It seems to me that Singapore is going to be either an edge of the seat nail biter, or an incredible bore fest. I just hope that it is not as much of an anti climax as Valencia turned out to be.

1) Who will take Pole and who will win the Race?
I think it both will be Hamilton.. The streetcircuit story :p

2) Which three drivers will be on the podium?
Hamilton-Massa-Kimi

3) Who will lead the WDC after Singapore, Lewis (78pts) or Felipe (77pts)?
Lewis

4) How many safety cars will there be?
2 :p

5) Who will lead the constructors’ championship after Singapore, Ferrari (134pts) or McLaren (129pts)?
Still Ferrari, Kovalainen has to be more consistent!!

6)What are your thoughts/expectations of the Singapore Street Cirucit?
I think it will be very special to see the cars racing at night!! The circuit also looks very long, a lap time will be around 1.41/42 I think. I also think it will be a long race, SC and just the amount of laps, and the laptime taken in mind... I am really looking forward to it!! :shhh:
